Pros

  • +True no-KYC swapping, no account, email, or documents required for standard and Private Swap flows.
  • +Monero privacy routing, Private Swap breaks on-chain links between sender and recipient using two independent providers.
  • +Rate aggregation, compares 8+ vetted providers in real time without leaving the platform.
  • +Non-custodial architecture, funds move directly from user wallet to provider; SwapZilla never holds assets.
  • +Merchant payment links, SwapZilla Pay generates crypto payment requests with automatic conversion, no merchant account needed.

Cons

  • Opaque fee structure, no published fee schedule; actual costs are embedded in provider quotes.
  • Thin trust signals, minimal third-party reviews and low community engagement as of 2026-05-30.
  • Merchant KYC-lite, SwapZilla Pay requires email sign-in, creating a privacy gap for sellers.

What is SwapZilla

SwapZilla is a crypto exchange rate aggregator, not an exchange itself. As of 2026-05-30, it surfaces real-time quotes from 8+ vetted third-party providers for hundreds of tokens across 100+ networks, including cross-chain swaps. Users select a pair, enter a recipient address, compare provider offers on one screen, and send crypto directly from their wallet to the chosen provider. SwapZilla monitors execution and provides real-time status tracking. The platform also operates two additional products: Private Swap, which routes transactions through Monero (XMR) to sever on-chain links, and SwapZilla Pay, a non-custodial payment-link generator for merchants.

How no-KYC is it?

SwapZilla requires no account, email, phone number, or identity documents for standard swaps or Private Swap. The privacy policy explicitly states that anonymous flows collect no PII, name, physical address, government ID, or verification data. The only exception is SwapZilla Pay: merchants must sign in via email magic link, and the platform processes that email plus limited account metadata. This creates a two-tier model-fully anonymous for swappers, minimal data collection for merchants. The service does not custody funds at any stage, reducing regulatory surface area that typically triggers KYC.

Privacy & security

Privacy engineering is SwapZilla's differentiator. Private Swap uses two independent providers in sequence: the first converts the source coin to XMR, the second converts XMR to the target coin. Because Monero obfuscates transaction graphs at the protocol level, neither provider sees the complete path, and blockchain analytics cannot link sender to recipient. The site also advertises a Tor mirror, though the .onion address was not tested in this crawl.

Security posture is mixed. The non-custodial design means SwapZilla itself cannot steal funds-providers execute swaps directly. However, provider vetting details are sparse beyond the claim that "nothing is connected automatically." A May 2026 blog post discussing the RetoSwap hack ($2.7M XMR lost) suggests SwapZilla is aware of infrastructure risks in the Monero ecosystem, though no direct SwapZilla breach was found in the evidence. The platform monitors swap execution and offers refund address functionality for failed transactions.

Payments, fees & limits

SwapZilla does not publish its own fee schedule; provider spreads and network fees are embedded in the quoted rates. Users choose between floating rates (market-calculated at execution, subject to slippage) and fixed rates (locked at order creation). The FAQ and how-it-works pages describe this mechanism but do not specify minimums, maximums, or exact provider count beyond "8+". Cross-chain and Lightning Network swaps are mentioned as supported. Payment methods are crypto-only-no fiat on-ramps, no SEPA, no cards.

SwapZilla Pay allows merchants to price in any supported crypto and receive their chosen asset. Customers pay via standard wallet transfer; the conversion happens through the aggregator engine. API access and webhooks are available for integration.

User experience & support

The interface follows a five-step flow: choose pair, enter address, compare providers, send crypto, track completion. No redirects to external sites occur during rate comparison. Support channels include email and Telegram chat; no ticket system or phone support is mentioned. The site is bilingual (English/Russian). A status indicator on the homepage shows "Systems operational." Third-party signals are thin-Trustpilot shows only 3 reviews for swapzilla.co (possibly a different entity), and Reddit activity appears minimal and dated. A BitcoinTalk thread from May 2026 presents the service but has low engagement.

Who it's for

SwapZilla suits privacy-conscious users who want rate comparison without account creation, and specifically those needing on-chain unlinkability via Monero routing. It also fits small merchants seeking non-custodial crypto payment links without traditional merchant account overhead. Users requiring fiat pairs, detailed fee transparency, or extensive social proof should look elsewhere. The platform competes with direct no-KYC exchangers and other aggregators, distinguishing itself through the Private Swap feature and payment-link product rather than lowest rates or deepest liquidity.

KYC & privacy

L1 Anonymous

Pseudonymous access, no personal data.

SwapZilla's core swap and Private Swap flows collect no PII per the April 2026 privacy policy. Technical metadata is logged for operation, and merchants using Pay surrender an email address. No logging duration, server jurisdiction, or data retention specifics are disclosed. No privacy-related incidents involving SwapZilla itself were found in the evidence.

Verdict

SwapZilla is a viable choice for users prioritizing privacy and convenience over deep liquidity, particularly those who value the Monero-routing option. It compares favorably to single-provider no-KYC exchangers on transparency of choice, but lacks the fee clarity and established reputation of longer-running alternatives. Best for intermittent swaps and small-scale merchant acceptance rather than high-volume trading.

Frequently asked questions

Is SwapZilla no-KYC?
Yes for standard and Private Swap: no account, ID, email, or documents are required. SwapZilla Pay merchants must provide an email for magic-link sign-in.
Does SwapZilla require an email or phone number?
No for swapping. Only SwapZilla Pay merchants need an email; no phone verification exists on the platform.
What payment methods does SwapZilla accept?
Cryptocurrency only. Users send crypto from any wallet to the provider address shown in the interface. No fiat, card, or bank transfer options are available.
Is SwapZilla safe?
SwapZilla is non-custodial and does not hold funds, which limits direct theft risk. Provider vetting is claimed but details are sparse. No SwapZilla-specific breach was found as of 2026-05-30.
Is SwapZilla still operating in 2026?
Yes. The site shows "Systems operational" and published blog posts dated May 2026. The terms were updated April 12, 2026.
How does SwapZilla Private Swap work?
It routes your swap through Monero using two separate providers. The first sees only your source; the second sees only your destination. XMR's protocol privacy breaks the on-chain link.

Private Swap actually works as described. Sent BTC and received ETH at a fresh address, no way to link them on-chain. UI is clean and no registration hassle.

Rates are competitive but not always the absolute best. The comparison saves time versus checking 5 sites manually. Wish they showed exact fees upfront.

Finally an aggregator that doesn't demand an email. Tor mirror is a nice touch though I haven't tested it yet. Non-custodial is the only way.

Worked fine for small amounts. Support is basically Telegram only and response time varies. Would hesitate for large swaps without more provider transparency.

Good Monero integration but the Pay feature requiring email feels like a step backward. Sticking to the swap side for now.
