What is Vexl

Vexl is a mobile application for peer-to-peer Bitcoin trading launched in 2022 by Vexl s.r.o., a company based in Prague, Czech Republic and part of the SatoshiLabs group. The app connects buyers and sellers through their existing phone contacts and friends-of-friends networks, rather than operating as a traditional exchange with order books. As of 2026-05-30, Vexl remains actively developed under CEO Viliam Klamarčík, who was appointed in November 2025 to lead global expansion.

The service is available on Android and iOS, with an open-source codebase. It does not custody funds or process payments itself-users negotiate trades privately and settle through whatever method they agree upon.

How no-KYC is it?

Vexl is explicitly marketed as requiring no KYC. Users register with a phone number, import their contact list, and browse anonymized offers within their extended social network. Identity remains hidden until voluntarily revealed to a specific trade counterparty. The app collects minimal data by design: encrypted contacts, phone number for onboarding, and IP addresses (unless masked by VPN/Tor). No government ID, proof of address, or facial verification is requested at any stage.

Vexl charges no platform fees for matching or trading. Settlement occurs entirely between users, who may choose cash in person, bank transfer, or any mutually agreeable method.
